Meet the other ME : A homedad to my dearest son Raphael Jaydrek

Labels:

Aside from keeping myself busy doing the daily tasks and obligations demanded by my on-line business and investments I have another role to keep.... which is being a HOMEDAD.

Is it a tough role?

Yes it is! Having on-line business on the side its tough but who can resist that charming smile, tingling giggles and soft touches of his little hands, me? Nah! ... I will give up everything for him anytime.

Hug and Kiss me, please!

What are the tasks?
  • Diaper Changes (DC)
During the first days I would say Yuck! what's that smell? It gives me nose bleeds (Just kidding).
Eventually you will get used to it though and you will never get your day complete without it.

I am not monitoring the time between DCs but I think I'm doing it every 2 to 4 hours or whenever our
room smells like the Yuck thing! a tough one.
  • Milk Shakes (MS)
I'm glad I have Mr. Electric Kettle and Mr. Sterilizer with me. Both of them made my life easier in just
a click of a button. Mr. EK boils the water for me in under 2 mins. while Mr. S makes the milk bottle
sterile in under 5 mins. Simply amazing!

MS are fed up to 6 times a day after mixing the required scoops of milk to water ratio. Easy!
  • Bottle Wash (BW)
After the MS are fed, of course there's the empty bottle to take care of. I have a total of 9 bottles on
rotation as soon as I got 3 of those I wash them up and turn over to Mr. S for sterilization. Easy!
  • Being Silly (BS)
Whenever he is awake only 2 things happens, he cries or he smiles at you. When he smiles I just smile
back but when he cries that's trouble! I will immediately check if he needs DC or MS but if both fails
the next thing I'm doing is to be BS then his smiles are all ears. I wonder why?

While he is sleeping...

Of course this is the best time for business as usual... and also a time for BW among other things.

So what do I think about being a Homedad?

I was an Engineer for 10 years, I trained and managed people, successfully done many projects and was successful in my field. My decision to becoming a Homedad is very very much worth it. I got rid of my boss and the demands that goes along with him. Haha! I have now the full control of my time and be my own boss (of course my wife is really the big boss) and most importantly I am with my dearest son Raphael Jaydrek. Finally, being a Homedad is a wonderful experience...

Here's a few snaps of my Raphael Jaydrek

I know that during registration most of us don't really read the TOS before registering so please allow me to walk you through the TOS of one of my favorite PTC site, namely neobux.

1.5. All kinds of publicity and attempts to get referrals are prohibited in Forum posts and topics.

2. USER ACCOUNT

2.1. As your password must be kept secret from others, we store it in an irreversible format. In the unlikely event of someone hacking into your account, we will not be held responsible. When you request your password, we will send you a new one to your email.

2.2. You can only have one account. Any attempt to create more than one account will lead to the termination of all of them.

3.5. You only earn from directly referred referrals.

3.6. You can only buy referrals when they are available.

3.7. The clicks you win from referrals are directly related to the clicks you make. The maximum you will receive is twice the clicks per referral on the day after your clicks. So, for example, if on average your referrals click 10 advertisements today you have to had clicked 5 advertisements on the previous day. The calculation used will be 'Maximum_Referral_Clicks_Today = (Your_Clicks_Yesterday * 2 * Number_of_Referrals)'. Once the limit is reached the referral clicks will cease to count.

3.8. A referral will never be able to modify the member who referred him.

How does the Rent-a-Ref feature works?

Sometime in mid-June they will implement the rent-a-ref feature and the cost of investment are as follows:

Golden Members:
$0.20 per referral / month
Pioneer Members: $0.25 per referral / month
Standard Members: $0.30 per referral / month

Let's calculate the possible earnings:

Say we rent 100 refs @ 5 ads per day for 30 days = 15,000 clicks

Investment = $0.20 x 100 = $20 since I'm a Golden member

As a golden member you get $0.01 per referral click ($.005 for Standard)

Earnings: 15,000 x $0.01 = $150 per month

Net earnings is $150 - $20 = $130 Wow thats a whooping 650% return....

SEE... we only calculated it at 5 ads a day, there are days that it can reach up to 10 ads.... and that is for renting 100 refs only.

Here's the maximum quantity of refs you can rent per month:

Golden Members: Maximum of 1500 referrals
Pioneer Members: Maximum of 300 referrals
Standard Members: Maximum of 100 referrals

Thank you very much and enjoy earning with Neobux.

Meet my baby boy, Raphael Jaydrek

Labels:

Hi!

I want to you to meet my dear and beloved baby boy.

His name is Raphael Jaydrek, born last 16 April 2008 at Central Private Hospital in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. He was born a small baby with 5.94 lbs. birth weight. Fortunately he was small making his delivery a normal one because the doctor said if he was a little bigger it would have been a Caesarian delivery.

I thank God that both my wife and Raphael were safe and the delivery was a success.

The Labor:

My wife was in pain for almost 2 hours while we were waiting to be transferred to the delivery room. During that time I wish I could share the pain my wife is having just to ease her a bit. I terribly feel sorry for her... Well at least I was there to hold her hand as the pain comes and goes.

The Delivery:

I cannot explain the feeling I had while I was inside the delivery room. It was a mix of emotions, the excitement, the fear and suspense.... It was very intense, the shouting "Push, push, push". Finally, I heard the first cry of our baby. It was a relief, happy feeling that TEARs flowed out from my eyes. TEARs of JOY!

The Responsibility:

Along with this gift is a great responsibility. Taking care of the baby is not an easy task to do. You need to be attentive to the baby's needs. You should know when to give him his milk, change his diapers, carry him in your arms and play with him. And the most important challenge is staying up late at night to get him to sleep first and be always ready to get up when he cries. Honestly I have not perfectly performed my responsibilities until now, I'm trying but sometimes I need to try harder. I am just very lucky having a wonderful wife... All I can say is she's PERFECT, the best wife and mother. Thanks Jem, my dear wife for the bottomless patience you have toward my indifference and keeps pushing me to do my responsibilities.

I thank God having you and our son in my life. I love you both!

Why I became a HomeDad?

Labels:

My name is Jay, I am a Filipino expatriate here in United Arab Emirates. Currently working as an Engineer in one of the highly recognized company which supplies and installs Relocatable and Demountable partitions here in the UAE and Qatar as well.

With me here is my wife Jem, a very good Graphic designer and works in a major Publishing company in Dubai which supplies the Middle East with Business, Fashion and Sports magazines among others.

So what happened?

Last 16th April 2008, we were blessed with a charming baby boy, his name is Raphael Jaydrek. My wife and I are so very happy taking care of him that even if we need to stay up all night just to make him comfortable.

Then on 10th May 2008 my vacation was finally over and I was required to report back to my job. Unfortunately, there were days that my wife and baby needs me to stay at home and to take care of them but I need to leave because the job demands me to. It breaks my heart deeply that these situations made me decided to quit my job....Yes I QUIT my job to be with my son and that made me a HOMEDAD.

My wife will be reporting back to her job this 8th June 2008 so it will be me and my baby here at our home. Maybe you are asking why me instead of my wife staying at home. Well, under the circumstances it was practical if it is me. Why? Because my wife's salary is doubled than mine and I am actually having a little bit of income on-line so I will be trying to push more of it and earn maybe more than what my job is offering me now.

So what do you think, did I made the right decision?
